So little Time - so much great Wine

Great Smoky Mountains Railroad Presents

The MacNeill Uncorked: A WNC Rail Line Wine Experience

Contact: Sarah Conley Pressley

Bryson City, NC – GSMR is excited to collaborate exclusively with the French Broad Vignerons (who provide judging for the Asheville Wine & Food Festival and serve as support for the regional wineries and vineyards) to premier our latest specialty car, The MacNeill Uncorked. This unique rail line and wine experience will be operating June 20, July 18, and August 15, 2015 on the Nantahala Gorge Excursion departing the Bryson City Depot at 10:30 AM.

Passengers will enjoy a full service All-Adult First Class ride in the MacNeill car with a private attendant and plush, well-appointed dining seating. A narrator will accompany the ride to present each pour to guests and share knowledge of the Western North Carolina wine region and history of the six wines selected. Passengers on this specialty car will enjoy an exclusive sampling of local cheeses, their choice of a freshly made entrée, and a chef-selected dessert.

The French Broad Vignerons have carefully selected our wine samples to accompany the meal options from their member wineries. All passengers will receive a GSMR souvenir stemless wine glass and souvenir tote bag to take home with them.

The fun does not end upon arrival in Bryson City- The Cottage Craftsman, located within walking distance of the train, will have all of the sampled wines available for purchase.

Tickets for this brand new experience are $109 for Adults (21+). Due to the exclusivity of this car, tickets will be selling fast so make sure to reserve your seat today!
